CULTURAL HOME

Privacy

Last updated: May 2026

Cultural Home is a private archive. We treat the photos, voices, recipes, and stories you trust us with the same way you would — quietly, carefully, and never as raw material for someone else's business.

What we collect

  • Your account email and display name.
  • The content you and your family members upload: text, photos, audio, video, documents.
  • Basic technical logs (IP address, browser) needed to keep the service running and to investigate abuse.

What we never do

  • We do not sell your data. Not in aggregate, not anonymized, not ever.
  • We do not train public AI models on your family's content.
  • We do not show your family's content to anyone you haven't invited.
  • We do not show third-party ads inside your home.

Who can see what

Every home has roles: homeowner, relative, guest, and neighbor. Each role has different access. The Bedroom is private to you unless you name an heir. You can revoke any invite at any time from Settings → Family management.

Where your data lives

Content is stored encrypted-at-rest on managed cloud infrastructure. Media files are served through signed, short-lived URLs so links can't be guessed or shared accidentally.

Your controls

  • Export everything. One click in Settings → Security & data.
  • Delete your account. Removes your contributions and revokes access. Your family's home can continue without you.
  • Delete the whole home. Homeowner only. Permanent.
